Rider practices rolling admissions. Once your application is complete, you will be notified of your decision. Applications completed after the stated deadlines will be considered on a space-available basis.
Students applying for Early Action freshman admission may receive an admission and merit-based scholarship decision by December 20 provided the application and all required credentials are submitted by November 15.
Auditions: Students applying through Early Action for majors requiring an audition should plan to audition in December. Early Action is not available to Musical Theatre applicants.
Early Financial Aid: First-year applicants applying for Early Action Admission may also apply for Early Action Financial Aid by submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by November 15. If accepted through Early Action, you will also receive your complete Rider Financial Aid award by December 20. The regular priority deadline for the FAFSA is February 15. Early Action and regular applicants should plan to file the FAFSA by February 15 for maximum financial aid consideration.
** To be considered for the maximum amount of scholarships for which you are eligible, your application must be complete, including all required credentials. If you are applying to a major that requires an audition, auditions scheduled for an audition day after January 15 will not disqualify you from maximum scholarship consideration.
