 Orientation and Placement Testing

You will not need to come to campus in advance for your placement testing or orientation unless you want to.  We understand that coming to campus during the summer can be costly and difficult.

Students who do not attend orientation will complete an online orientation program during the summer and can participate in other orientation activities during move-in weekend.

Visit for more details.

Early Move-in to the Residence Halls

If you are enrolled in a program that has an early move-in time, please follow the instructions given to you by that program (i.e. Bridge to Success week, GLASS-STEM, MSLI).

Freshman move-in day is Sunday, September 4, 2016

If you'd like to make arrangements to move into your residence hall earlier, please contact your admission representative about moving in on one of the following dates (between the hours of 10am-5pm or 7pm-11pm):

  • Thursday, September 1
  • Friday, September 2
  • Saturday, September 3

There will be resident advisors in each building to assist you in the check in process.  You are not required to stay in your room until the evening of Sunday, September 4th.  We offer this early access for your convenience.

If you plan to move in early, please be advised that your meal plan will not begin until dinner on Sunday, September 4th; but you can pay cash for meals in Daly's Dining Hall until that time. Meals cost $7-$12 per meal.

Please contact your admission representative to let them know what day you would like to gain access to your residence hall room so they can coordinate your arrival with the Residence Life Office.
