TUITION AND HOUSING DEPOSITS

Tuition Deposit
Your tuition deposit is non-refundable.

Housing Deposit
If you plan to live on campus, you must:

  • Submit your non-refundable housing deposit online or via check.

  • Check your email for instructions on how to select your room (available on or about March 1)

When are deposits due? 

May 1

  • If you accept the Rider University offer of admission, you will need to pay your deposit(s) by May 1 to secure your place in our entering class.

  • Deposits received after the due date will be accepted on a space-available basis.

  • Housing for the first year is guaranteed only if all deposits and forms are received by May 1. Housing is assigned on a space-available basis to students whose deposits are received after May 1.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Paying Online 

To make your deposit online, you’ll need to access your myRider student portal at myrider.rider.edu.  

 If you pay online you will not need to submit the Admission Decision Form. Payment of the tuition deposit online secures your seat in the entering class.

EOP Admitted Students 
If you have been admitted through the EOP program, you must pay by check, money order, or by phone using a credit card. See below for instructions.
 

Instructions to pay online via myRider portal
  1. Visit the myRider Portal

  2. Sign in using your Rider username and password
    Found in your acceptance letter.

  3. Click the "Applicant" tab next to the "Welcome" tab in the top left of the page.

  4. Locate the "Steps to enrolling at Rider" box or channel
    and within that area, click "Pay my Deposit".

  5. You'll come to another screen that will ready, "Please click "Continue" below to make a deposit payment or pay your University Bill."  Click "Continue".

  6. Click on the "eDepositsnavigation tab at the top of the page.
    Do not select the Payments tab.

  7. Select the appropriate term.

  8. If you will be living on campus at Rider select "Fall - Tuition & Housing ($400)" to make a deposit for tuition and housing.

    If you will be commuting select "Fall - Tuition Only ($200)" to make a tuition deposit only

  9. Select "Make Deposit Payment".

  10. Select your payment method (credit card or electronic check) and click "Continue".  

  11. Enter your payment information and click "Continue".

  12. Confirm your payment information and click "Submit Payment".  

  13. A confirmation email will be sent to your Rider University email account.  

myRider Help

Passwords
Consists of your Bronc ID followed by the four digit month and date of your birth.

For example:
Bronc ID of 001234567 and a birth date of May 1 would be password 0012345670501

Already a paid commuter tuition deposit?
If you have already paid your commuter tuition deposit and would like to live on campus you may go back to step 9 and choose “Fall- Housing Only ($200)” deposit to make your housing deposit.

Already a paid housing deposit?
If you have paid a housing deposit, the Office of Residence Life will contact you at a later date via email regarding your housing application.

Paying By Check or Money Order

If you will not be living on campus, please pay only the tuition deposit.

If you plan to live on campus, you may send one check or money order covering both your tuition deposit and your housing deposit.

Please consult your acceptance packet for amounts required. 
If you would like to pay your deposit by phone, please call (609) 896-5390.

Please make your check or money order payable to Rider University.

  • Include your full name and Bronc ID (see the bottom of your acceptance letter) on your check or money order.

  • Send your payment along with your Admission Decision Form.
