9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
July 7 – 11

In this one-week chamber music intensive, students will participate in mixed instrumental ensembles coached by Westminster Conservatory faculty. Students will also play in a chamber orchestra conducted by Ruth Ochs. Students will have the opportunity to learn and play exceptional music carefully selected from authentic chamber music repertoire. Campers will also have the benefit of special workshops and faculty performances throughout the camp week.  The camp week will conclude with a Friday afternoon presentation of the mixed ensembles and chamber orchestra.

Students must have a minimum of 3 years private instruction and must be entering grades 7 through 12 in the fall of 2014. To facilitate appropriate placement in ensembles, students must prepare a brief solo and will be asked to sight read a piece of music for the directors (see Placement Audition Information and Requirements below).  Minimum enrollment is 10 students.
