2011–2012 Westminster Ticket Policy – Rider University
This policy applies to Rider University students, Rider University faculty and staff.
Rider Tickets for Local Concerts
Rider University students, faculty and staff receive one discounted or free admission (Rider Ticket) to each of the following performances. A current Rider University ID must be presented to receive and use a Rider ticket.
- Choir performances in Bristol Chapel and at Princeton Presbyterian Church (EXCEPT Holidays at Westminster concerts and April 14 Symphonic Choir Women) - FREE
- Opera performances at Princeton Regional Schools Performing Arts Center or the Playhouse - FREE
- April 14 Symphonic Choir Women’s concert - $5
- Westminster Community Orchestra concerts at Princeton Regional Schools Performing Arts Center or Princeton Presbyterian Church - $5
- Liszt Festival performances - $5
Symphonic Choir Concerts with Orchestras
The Office of External Affairs has reserved tickets for select Westminster Symphonic Choir performances for purchase by students, faculty, staff and families. These tickets must be purchased a month in advance of the performance, so please watch your Rider e-mail for information on how to order those tickets. The performances for which tickets have been reserved are:
- Saturday, November 5, 2011, Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem, Kimmel Center, Philadelphia
- Saturday, December 17, 2011, Handel: Messiah, Lincoln Center, New York
- Saturday, February 25, 2012, Mahler: Symphony No. 2, Carnegie Hall, New York
Holidays at Westminster
On Saturday, October 29, Rider University students, faculty and staff will have an opportunity to purchase Holidays at Westminster concert tickets before they go on sale to the general public. A limited number of tickets for each event will be sold between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Williamson Hall. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. Purchases must be made in person, and no one will be admitted to the sale without current Rider University ID. Limit of 6 tickets per purchaser, per event.
Holidays at Westminster tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Monday October 31. Purchasers are limited to six tickets per event for each Holidays at Westminster performance.
General Information
- Tickets for Westminster Choir College events (including Rider Tickets) may be purchased:
- In person at the box office: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
- By phone at 609-921-2663: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
- On-line at www.rider.edu/arts: 24 hours a day (until 5 p.m. Friday before concert)
- The box office accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal check and cash.
- A current Rider University ID must be presented to receive and use Rider Tickets. Rider Tickets may not be used by family or friends who do not have Rider IDs.

- Please note that ticket availability is not guaranteed – most ticketed concerts sell out. You must have a ticket to attend a ticketed performance.

General Information for Theater, Musical Theater and Dance
- Tickets for Lawrenceville events (including Rider Tickets) may be purchased:
- In person at the Ticket Booth in the SRC: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3-4:30pm, Monday through Friday
- By phone at 609-896-5303
- One student ticket at the $5 rate may be purchased with the presentation of a current valid Rider University ID.
- Please note that ticket availability is not guaranteed – most ticketed concerts sell out. You must have a ticket to attend a ticketed performance. Consult the season brochure or www.rider.edu/arts for concert dates and details.
- At this time, only cash or check will be accepted as payment at the Lawrenceville Ticket Booth and at the Box Office of each Lawrenceville event.
General Information for Registering an Event with the Ticket Booth
- Please fill out the Event Registration Form at least two days prior to the desired start of ticket sales or sign ups.
- If the event is an off campus trip, a request must also be completed for an Assumption of Risk form through Auxiliary Services. A request for transportation through www.rider.edu/transportation will automatically trigger the request for the Assumption of Risk forms.
- An Assumption of Risk form MUST BE COMPLETED BY EVERY STUDENT LEAVING CAMPUS for an event. Failure to complete the Assumption of Risk form will eliminate that person’s eligibility to participate.
- The completed Assumption of Risk forms along with Emergency Contact Cards must be picked up from the Ticket Booth by 4pm the day before the trip. The Assumption of Risk forms must be submitted to Auxiliary Services for processing. The Emergency Contact Cards must have the chaperone’s number written on the back and given to each participant of the trip.
