Be inspired by other highly-talented musician/entrepreneurs and follow along with Bennett's practical, step-by-step approach to creating your own artistic business plan.
Attendees will assess their strengths and weaknesses, define and prioritize goals, identify and mitigate career risks, analyze priorities and objectives, articulate core values, and compose an artistic vision and mission statement.
These sessions will turn an often intimidating and stressful process, into a simple and fun group activity. You will leave with a dramatically improved sense of self-awareness and empowerment over your path, and with a tangible, actionable process for keeping up with your plans going forward!

About Bill Bennett
After earning a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, Velvet Singer’s president and founder Bill Bennett moved to Chicago to pursue a Masters in Music at DePaul University. In Chicago, he worked as an analyst with Soliant Consulting and serves on the Board of Directors for Chicago Chorale.
He has given seminars at over 20 organizations including Chautauqua Opera, Opera New Jersey, Opera North, Seagle Music Colony, CoOPERAtive Program, Chautauqua Voice, Caramoor, OperaWorks, BASOTI, Westminster Choir College, Manhattan School of Music, Northwestern, DePaul, Roosevelt and Boston Conservatory.
He sings regularly with the choruses of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony. Bennett has performed as a young artist with Chicago Opera Theater, Ash Lawn Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera, Sugar Creek Symphony and Song and has presented title roles with regional companies such as DuPage Opera Theater, Light Opera Works and Elgin Opera.
