Each year, hundreds of CCS students receive scholarships and other forms of financial assistance. As a CCS student, you will benefit from having a designated Financial Aid Counselor, as well as attending the College's workshops on identifying and applying for external scholarships.
- Dean's Scholar Awards
Dean's Scholar Awards are available to CCS incoming and re-admitted students who register for at least six (6) credits during their first semester at the University. The award amounts vary and are subject to the available funds. The awards may be renewed to include one consecutive semester, provided that students enroll in at least two courses (6 credits) in each semester.
- Transfer Scholarships
Rider offers Transfer Scholarships of up to $5,000 each for full-time, matriculated students transferring to Rider with an A.A. degree and a 3.5 grade point average or better. The scholarship is renewed each year provided the student maintains full-time status with a grade point average of at least 2.5.
- Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarships
The Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation and Rider University have established a fund to provide scholarships for mature second-career women. All Rider University women, age 25 or older, who have completed at least 60 credits toward a baccalaureate degree program, are eligible to apply for partial tuition assistance. Applicants may be enrolled part-time or full-time. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of clarity of career goals, financial need and academic record. Application forms are available from CCS.
- Maida Scholarship
Two scholarships are awarded annually to newly admitted CCS degree candidates. Students must have previously completed a minimum of 12 credits either at Rider or in transfer, with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA to be eligible to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Scholarships, which are renewable for a maximum of three years, are awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and academic record. First consideration is given to Mercer County residents.
- Phyllis K. Snyder Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for CCS part-time mature female students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. CCS women, age 30 or older, raising a family while attending college and maintaining a 2.5 overall GPA are eligible to apply. The scholarship is based on financial need as well as merit. Applications are available at the CCS office.
In addition to the scholarships administered by Rider University, the College also maintains close ties with philanthropic organizations in the community. For example, the local chapters of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) have a history of generously supporting the College's students through its own scholarship programs. As a CCS student, you can also take advantage of Rider's convenient deferred payment and third party payment plans (for students who receive tuition benefits from their employer).
