The Business Administration Major will provide students with a general business focus, and is appropriate for students who do not want to concentrate in a particular functional area, but instead intend to pursue one of the following goals:

  • Attend graduate school, such as law school or a MBA or Ph.D. program
  • Enter a management training or marketing program with a future employer
  • Enter a family business or start a new one

This major is housed in the Department of Marketing, Advertising and Legal Studies. The faculty who teach the courses relating to this major have academic credentials and are trained professionals in fields of law and strategic management.

Professor Sprotzer has taught business law, business ethics and corporate responsibility at Rider for 35 years. His professional experience includes the practice of business law and real estate law, as well as trust and estate planning. His research interests are in constitutional law as it relates to business and business ethics and he has published articles in a variety of business journals. Professor Sprotzer has taught in the EMBA program since its inception and was influential in the redesign of the program.
