This is an interdisciplinary major, which draws upon courses offered in the different departments of the College of Business. It is designed for students interested in majoring in Entrepreneurship.
The faculty identify the following two items as the key learning objectives for this major:
- Encourage entrepreneurial thinking among students, which entails the ability to recognize, evaluate and pursue new venture opportunities.
- To build professional skills relevant for starting and managing a new venture; these include opportunity evaluation, data-based research, business planning and understanding the functional aspects of small business management, including marketing, operational management, financial analysis, taxation, human-resource management and computer use.
