Proficiency exams for each Core Business Requirement will be offered approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of the spring, summer and fall semesters of each academic year. These are the dates and times for the 2013 academic year.
- Spring 2014 proficiency tests are scheduled on:
Monday, January 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, January 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Summer 2014 proficiency tests are scheduled on:
Monday, April 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, April 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Fall 2014 proficiency tests are scheduled on:
Monday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A student will only be allowed to take an individual proficiency test (e.g., economics) one time. Application due dates for the testing are:
- December 6 for the spring
- March 28 for the summer
- July 25 for the fall
Since there is a limited time period scheduled on each day, only one test can be taken each day. Proficiency exams should be taken within one year of the start of a student’s first semester. Students are only allowed to take an individual proficiency test (e.g. economics) one time.
If you intend to take a proficiency exam, please print out the application Application for Proficiency Exam. A check or money order made payable to Rider University for $30.00 for each examination requested must accompany the application form to the Cashier’s Office, Bart Luedeke Center, Rider University, 2083 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceille, NJ 08648-3099. The fee is non-refundable.
Students are required to show their Rider Bronc I.D. on test day, before they will be allowed to take the test.
NO CELL PHONES will be allowed in the exam room. It is suggested that students bring a watch to help pace their progress during the timed exam.

This test is not given on the above dates. Please contact the Graduate Business Studies office at 609.896.5127 about signing up for this particular "presentation" test. Once this test "presentation" is scheduled you will be given a month's notice to prepare.
