The International Business Seminar with Travel is viewed by many as one of the highlights of the Rider EMBA experience. The class of 2011 traveled to Vietnam and China this year, participating in meetings with HSBC Bank, attending an economic presentation at the U.S. Consulate, and networking with the largest infrastructure company in Vietnam. View photos and details of the Vietnam portion of the trip.
Designed to provide current and aspiring executives with an integrated business perspective and knowledge and acumen necessary to function effectively as leaders in organizations, the Executive MBA program allows experienced business professionals to continue to work full time while earning an MBA in less than one and one-half years (17 months). It also allows students to enter the program, complete classes and graduate with the same integrated group of up to 25 students, maximizing networking outcomes to complement the faculty and business executive relationships established in the classroom.
As seen in the overview diagram below, the program consists of two parts: the first part sets expectations concerning what it means to operate at an executive level and then delivers a solid foundation in business concepts and team skills; the second part provides advanced executive sessions on a variety of current business themes of relevance to the business executive (current program themes shown). A personal, professional coaching program called Leadership Edge is also included in the curriculum. In addition, there is a seminar on international business, which includes approximately two weeks of travel in a key economic region of the globe. The actual location for each integrated group is partially dependent upon the interests and needs of the group. Through a series of site visits, the group will meet with business leaders, develop relationships with overseas firms, and get an up-close look at how business is done in some of the world’s most dynamic emerging markets.

Other program highlights include: learning advanced business theory from the faculty plus receiving practical executive input from current business leaders who work alongside the faculty lending their personal insight to the classroom discussion; convenient scheduling (following the initial class which consists of three weekends, all courses are on Saturdays); and an all-inclusive price that covers the cost of tuition, books, international seminar travel, and two meals and snacks on class days provided at the Princeton area executive conference center where courses are held.
