Introduction to Academic Reading
Introduction to Academic Reading (CRC-101S) is a required CORE course for first year students who do not meet the placement criteria for college level reading. Students in CRC 101S will practice learning strategies with representative college level materials. Upon successful completion of CRC 101S, students will receive two supplemental units.
College Reading (CRC-100) is a three-credit elective course for students who have met the placement criteria for reading or who have successfully completed Introduction to Academic Reading (CRC-101S). Students will develop or improve reading comprehension skills and study strategies that will enable them to enhance academic performance across the curriculum.
