Inaugural Mazzotti Women’s Leadership Summit

This day-long event will take place on Rider’s Lawrenceville campus on Wednesday, May 20. All Rider faculty and staff are invited to attend.

The Summit will feature presentations, small group discussions, case studies and lunch, all centered around a shared read – How Great Leaders Think: The Art of Reframing by Lee G. Bolman and Terrence E. Deal. Bolman and Deal are known for their four frame leadership and organizational framework which will provide context for the Summit’s focus on women’s leadership at Rider.

Copies of the book will be available free of charge to participants beginning April 20. Participants are asked to pick up their copy in the Provost’s office on the ground floor of Moore Library during regular operating hours once they have RSVPed. Participants will also receive additional information via email, including a detailed schedule, rooms and other advance material, by early May.

Spring 2015 Women’s Leadership Lunch

A generous renewal grant from Joan Mazzotti '72, former chair of Rider University's Board of Trustees, and her husband, Michael Kelly, enables the University to continue supporting women faculty and staff in their professional development. The Mazzotti Awards in Women’s Leadership assist women faculty and staff to lead, innovate, collaborate, and actively participate in Rider’s ongoing efforts to advance its mission. Originally established in 2006, this second grant extends the Women’s Leadership Awards through 2018 and expands the program to include regular Women’s Leadership Lunches and a biennial Mazzotti Women’s Leadership Summit.

Participants will include Mazzotti Leadership Committee members, past recipients, women faculty and staff who participated in last year’s Academic Leadership Development Program, and women department chairs and senior administrators.
