Two new professional members have been appointed to the office of performance management at Westminster Choir College of Rider University.  

Westminster Kantorei, conducted by Andrew Megill, will present Song of Songs, a program of works based on the biblical Song of Solomon Saturday, February 4 at 8:00 p.m. in Miller Chapel on the campus of the Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton.

The Westminster Choir College Faculty Recital Series continues on Sunday, February 5 with a recital presented by soprano Nancy Froysland Hoerl and pianist Akiko Hosaki in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.  The performance will begin at 4:00 p.m., rather than the originally scheduled time of 3:00 p.m.

The evening of Saturday, February 11 will be filled with inspiration and joy as the Westminster Jubilee Singers present their Winter concert in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.   In honor of Black History Month, the performance, beginning at 8 p.m., will feature the music for which this lively and popular ensemble has become known - music from the African-American experience: spirituals, hymns and gospel songs. 

The Westminster Choir College Faculty Recital Series continues on Sunday, February 12 with a recital presented by organist Diane Meredith Belcher in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.  The performance will begin at 3:00 p.m.

The Westminster Jubilee Singers and conductor J. Donald Dumpson will make their Lincoln Center debut on Wednesday, March 1 at 8 p.m.
 

Westminster Music Theater will present the delightful musical Smile on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 5 at 3:00 p.m. in The Playhouse on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton. 

Westminster Schola Cantorum, conducted by Sue Ellen Page, will present a concert on Saturday, March 11 at 8:00 p.m. at the Robbinsville Performing Arts Center in Robbinsville High School in Robbinsville, N.J.

The Westminster Symphonic Choir will present Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle Wednesday, March 8 at 8 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster Choir College of Rider University campus in Princeton.

Tuesday, March 14 the Westminster Choir will embark on its first concert tour of England in 76 years.

The Westminster Williamson Voices, conducted by James Jordan, will present a concert entitled Voices of American Masters on Saturday, April 1 at 8:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.  The ensemble will be joined by Philadelphia's ArcheDream Dance Company for a dramatic black light performance.

Westminster Kantorei and Fuma Sacra will collaborate under the direction of Andrew Megill to present Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Virgine, (Vespers of 1610) on Friday, April 7 at 8:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel, on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton and on Saturday, April 8 at 8:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in New York.

The Westminster Jubilee Singers will perform Saturday April 22, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street, Princeton, N.J. 

The Westminster Chapel Choir will perform a concert on Saturday, April 8th at 8:00 p.m. at the Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J.

Marion Buckelew Cullen, a former Westminster Choir College trustee, has made a leadership gift to support construction of a new academic complex for Westminster.  The planned gift, valued at over $5 million, is the largest single gift in Westminster Choir College’s history.

Ingrid Clarfield, professor of piano at Westminster Choir College of Rider University, was recently named an MTNA Foundation Fellow by the Music Teachers National Association National Conference (MTNA) at its national conference in Austin, Texas.

The Westminster Conservatory Youth Chorale will present Franz Joseph Haydn’s The Creation, an oratorio in three parts, on Sunday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster Choir College of Rider University campus in Princeton.

The Westminster Concert Bell Choir, conducted by Kathleen Ebling-Thorne, will present its spring concert on Sunday, April 30, 2006, at 3 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.

The Westminster Symphonic Choir will perform a dramatic program of sacred music for choir and organ entitled “Visions of God” in the Princeton University Chapel Friday, April 28 and at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York on Saturday, April 29.  Both performances begin at 8 p.m., and a pre-performance talk with composers James Whitbourn and M. Joseph Rendulic will be presented at 7 p.m.

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth, Westminster Opera Theater will present The Marriage of Figaro on Thursday, April 27 thru Sunday, April 29 at 8 p.m., as well as a matinee performance on Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m.

The jazz faculty of Westminster Conservatory will perform original jazz music and arrangements Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m. at the Rider University Art Gallery in the Bart Luedeke Center, on the Rider University campus, Route 206 in Lawrenceville.

Westminster Choir College of Rider University will hold its 77th annual Commencement ceremony Friday, May 12  4:00 p.m. in the Princeton University Chapel.

Members of the faculty at Westminster Conservatory, the community music school of Westminster Choir College of Rider University, will perform works by Laurie Altman on Thursday, May 18 at 8 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus in Princeton.

Westminster Choir College of Rider University will welcome the Brazilian choir ContraCantos and Brazilian band Arabiando, conducted by Flávio Gomes Tenório de Medeirosa for a concert in Bristol Chapel Sunday, September 24 at 3 pm.

Five leaders in the world of opera will participate in the class Opera Auditions: Preparations and Techniques.

Dr. Jack Sullivan, professor of English and director of the American Studies Program at Rider University, will present a lecture focusing on the music in Alfred Hitchcock’s movies on Wednesday, November 11 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Talbott Library room 1 on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University.
