Organ Program Announces Changes
Kenneth Cowan, an adjunct faculty member for the past four years, has been appointed to a full-time position in the organ department. 
Westminster Will Hold Voice Auditions in Iceland
Westminster Choir College will hold international auditions for its undergraduate and graduate voice program September 4, 2005, atthe Reykajavik Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Westminster Conservatory Faculty Jazz Jam Session Will Benefit Hurricane Relief
The jazz faculty at Westminster Conservatory will hold an open jazz jam session on Labor Day -  Monday, September 5 -  from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. in Williamson Hall on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University.

Organist Kenneth Cowan will open the Westminster Choir College Faculty Recital Series with a performance Sunday, September 18 at 3:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.


Westminster Students and Alumni Perform in Katrina Benefit Concerts

Friday, October 7, Westminster Choir College of Rider University students and alumni will perform in concerts in Princeton and Philadelphia to benefit Hurricane Katrina relief programs.


Westminster Early Music Series Opens with “In Pursuit of Refinement – Musick in Colonial and Early Federal America”

The 2005-06 Westminster Early Music Series will open Saturday, October 15 with a program entitled “In Pursuit of Refinement – Musick in Colonial and Early Federal America.”  Presented by The Practitioners of Musick: Eugene Roan and John Burkhalter, the performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.  There will be a pre-concert talk at 7:30 p.m.


Baritone Elem Eley Will Perform October 16

This past summer baritone Elem Eley, studied in Vienna through a Rider University fellowship for international study.  He will present a recital inspired by his experience on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at 3 p.m., in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus in Princeton.

Celebrating a Decade of Music, Faith and Love: The Westminster Jubilee Singers’10th Anniversary Concert Is November 4

The evening of Friday, November 4 will be filled with inspiration and joy as the Westminster Jubilee Singers present their 10th anniversary concert in Richardson Auditorium on the Princeton University campus. Beginning at 8 p.m., the performance will feature the music for which this lively and popular ensemble has become known - music from the African-American experience: spirituals, hymns and gospel songs. 


Westminster Opera Theater to Present Britten’s Albert Herring

Westminster Opera Theater will present Benjamin Britten's comic opera Albert Herring, Thursday, November 3 thru Saturday, November 5 at 8 p.m., as well as a matinee performance on Sunday, November 6 at 3 p.m.


Westminster Alumni Participate in Helping Through Harmony Benefit

Westminster alumni will participate in a benefit for the American Guild of Musical Artists affected by Hurricane Katrina on Sunday, October 30 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Cherry Hill, N.J.


Westminster Kantorei to Present Program in New York City October 30

Sunday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. Westminster Kantorei, conducted by Andrew Megill, will present its first program of the 2005-2006 season at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in New York City, a venue ideally suited for the concert repertoire.

Westminster Organ Students Will Present Recitals in Princeton
Organ students at Westminster Choir College of Rider will present two recitals in Princeton in November and December.
Westminster Jubilee Singers Will Perform at NJPAC on December 17

The Westminster Jubilee Singers and conductor J. Donald Dumpson will perform with the legendary Sweet Honey in the Rock at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Saturday, December 17 at 8 p.m.


Dr. Joe Miller Is New Director of Choral Activities

Dr. Joe Miller has been appointed Director of Choral Activities at Westminster Choir College of Rider University, beginning July 1, 2006.


Westminster Jubilee Singers To Present Living the Dream Concert on January 22

The Westminster Jubilee Singers, conducted by J. Donald Dumpson, will present its second annual concert honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Saturday, January 22 at 8:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus in Princeton.  Joining the ensemble will be the Hampton University Concert Choir, conducted by Royzell Dillard.


Westminster Choir Will Present Midwinter Concert With Stefan Parkman

The Westminster Choir will present its midwinter concert on Friday, February 25 under the baton of guest conductor Stefan Parkman, the conductor of the Swedish Radio Choir.  The performance will be at 8:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton. 


Westminster Opera Theater Presents Beatrice and Benedict
Westminster Opera Theater will present Beatrice and Benedict by Hector Berlioz, based on Shakespeare's play Much Ado About Nothing,  on Thursday, March 3; Friday, March 4; and Saturday, March 5 at 8:00 p.m.  A matinee performance will be performed on Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m.
Westminster To Present The Final Works of Johannes Brahms

Westminster faculty and students will present a special performance of the final works written by Johannes Brahms on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 8:00 pm, in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus in Princeton.

Renowned choral conductor Dale Warland will lead the 100-voice Westminster Symphonic Choir in "A Choral Mosaic: Music of Our Time," Thursday, April 7 at 8:00 p.m. in the Princeton University Chapel.

The Westminster Chapel Choir, conducted by Sun Min Lee, will present its second spring concert Saturday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus, Hamilton Avenue and Walnut Lane in Princeton.


Westminster Concert Bell Choir Will Perform April 24

The Westminster Concert Bell Choir, conducted by Kathleen Ebling-Thorne, will present is annual spring concert on Sunday, April 24 at 4:00 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus in Princeton.  The program is a preview of the ensemble’s national concert tour, which begins on May 15.

Westminster Kantorei will present “Tenebrae,” a celebration of light and darkness featuring choral settings for the Tenebrae service April 22 and April 23.
Westminster Williamson Voices Will Present Music of the Human Spirit at The Philadelphia Cathedral April 22.

The Westminster Williamson Voices, conducted by James Jordan, will present a concert entitled "Music of the Human Spirit" at The Philadelphia Cathedral Friday, April 22 at 8:00 p.m.  Centerpiece of the evening will be a performance of Eric Whitacre’s Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine with the Spiral Q Puppet Theater of Philadelphia.

Westminster Williamson Voices, Westminster Kantorei and the Westminster Concert Bell Choir will present concerts featuring a wide range of repertoire.April 22 – 24 in Lawrenceville, Princeton and Philadelphia.


Westminster Music Theater to Present Cole Porter's Anything Goes
Westminster Music Theater will present Anything Goes Thursday, April 28; Friday, April 29; and Saturday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m.  A matinee performance will be presented on Sunday, May 1 at 3:00 p.m.
Westminster's Commencement Is May 14

Westminster Choir College of Rider University will hold its 76th annual Commencement ceremony Saturday, May 14 in the Princeton University Chapel.  Pre-ceremony music begins at 9:45 a.m. and the procession begins at 10:30 a.m.

The Actors Company, the resident theater company at Westminster Conservatory, the community music school of Westminster Choir College of Rider University, will present Peter Pan: A New Musical on Thursday, May 19 through Saturday, May 21 at 8:00 p.m., with a last performance on Sunday, May 22 at 3:00 p.m.
