Westminster Appoints Two In Performance Management Office
Two new professional members have been appointed to the office of performance management at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. They are James Moore, director of performance management, and Jake Foster, production coordinator.
Before accepting his position at Westminster, Moore served for six years as performance manager at Carnegie Hall, where he was responsible for managing concurrent presentations and activities in all of the performing and meeting spaces. His other positions have included working as facilities manager for the Lawrence A Wien Center for Dance & Theatre and company manager for the Eglevsky Ballet. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Iowa.
Before joining the Westminster staff, Foster was executive director of the Houston Masterworks Chorus, an auditioned, 100-voice ensemble. He has also held company manager positions with Conspirare, the Austin-based professional chamber choir directed by Craig Hella Johnson, and the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, directed by Dennis Schrock. In addition to his duties at Westminster, Jake Foster is also executive director of The Princeton Singers, directed by Steven Sametz. He attended the University of Oklahoma as a vocal performance major and earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University.
Carren Klenke, who earned a Master degree in voice performance and pedagogy from Westminster and has been serving as assistant director of concerts and special events for several years, is the third member of the performance management team.
The office of performance management, which reports to the dean, is responsible for all aspects of performances and other activities both on and off campus. This includes scheduling performances and space, managing travel logistics, stage management and box office.
