Westminster Alumni Participate in Helping Through Harmony Benefit

Westminster alumni will participate  in "Helping Through Harmony" Sunday, October 30 at 4:30 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Cherry Hill, N.J.  Proceeds from the concert will support the ongoing relief effort for victims of Hurricane Katrina.  Local members of the American Guild of Musical Artists are volunteering their time and talents to support their colleagues who have been left jobless and homeless by the ravaging effects of the hurricane.  Every dollar raised is to be deposited in the already established AGMA Relief Fund and is earmarked specifically for those who are suffering in the Gulf Area.  Musicians have been extremely hard hit by this disaster, as it has taken performing venues, destroyed personal and institutional libraries of music, and significantly reduced their income.

Acclaimed Mezzo-Soprano Barbara Dever along with members of the Opera Company of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Singers and prominent solo artists from the Delaware Valley will be raising their voices in harmony in memorable choruses from operas including La Traviata, Nabucco, and Die Fledermaus.  Musical theater and sacred selections will round out the program.  There will be something for everyone!

Suggested donation is $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.  Trinity Presbyterian Church is at 499 Route 70 East in Cherry Hill, N.J.  For more information contact Evelyn at escoqui@msn.com or Suzanne at the church 856-428-2050.
