Westminster Jubilee Singers Will Present “Thanksgiving: Expressions of Faith and Gratitude” on November 6

Praised by critics for their “pinpoint accuracy” and music-making with “a fine sheen,” the Westminster Jubilee Singers is a multicultural, multiracial and interdenominational choral ensemble that performs music from the African-American tradition.  Last fall the ensemble performed at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York as part of the Children’s Defense Fund’s 30th anniversary; and last spring they presented a joint concert entitled “Living the Dream” with Penn State University’s Essence of Joy ensemble as a tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  This past February, as part of their New Englandconcert tour, the Westminster Jubilee Singers presented a concert in Bostonat the American Choral Directors Association’s Eastern Region conference.  Its recording, A Celebration of Spirituals, Hymns and Gospel Songs, was released last winter.
