2010 Tour - Long Beach

FLOWER OF BEAUTY
The Westminster Choir will perform selections from the ensemble’s first major recording under conductor Joe Miller - Flower of Beauty - an exploration of the range of beautiful and dynamic tone quality that distinguishes the Westminster Choir.  In addition to works from the new recording, the ensemble will perform Meanwhile, Paul Crabtree’s setting of poetry by Simon Armitage.  Written to mark the 10th anniversary of the tragedy at Columbine High School, Meanwhile will contrast with other programmed works by Stephen Leek, Claudio Monteverdi, Henk Badings and Dominick Argento.
