May 7, 2004 - Westminster Symphonic Choir on WNYC Radio and Web




The Westminster Symphonic Choir's May 7 performance of Leonard Bernstein's Candide with The New York Philharmonic will be broadcast live on WNYC Radio - 93.9 FM - and on the Web at wnyc.org beginning at 8:00 p.m. EDT.

Joining the Choir is a cast drawn equally from the classical and musical-theater worlds - soprano Kristin Chenoweth as Cunegonde, tenor Paul Groves as Candide, tenor Stanford Olsen as Governor/Vanderdendur/ Ragotski, actress-singer Patti LuPone as The Old Lady, and Sir Thomas Allen as Pangloss/Martin. Bernstein protégée Marin Alsop will conduct.
