How to Apply and Program Fees

Applcation Process

New this year, CoOPERAtive Program will be using a YAP Tracker application as
the method of requesting an audition. (You do not need to be a
paying subscriber to YAP Tracker to use this application form.) Please click

Houston, Texas - January 19 at Houston Grand Opera

Atlanta, Georgia - January 24 at Trinity Presbyterian Church

Auditions in each city will be limited to 40 applicants.

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance for audition by December 19 after the application and audition fee have been processed. An accompanist will be provided for the audition. You may also bring your own accompanist if you prefer.

All participants will be notified no later than March 1, 2009 as to their acceptance into the program.

“This program was FANTASTIC.  I can't stress it enough.  The organization of it,
instruction and general energy from the participants was so inspiring.  CoOPERAtive
absolutely achieved its goal of preparing its participants for the next step.  I
would highly recommend this program to others and am so proud to be a part of the
inaugural year.”


2009 Program Fees

Tuition for singers $2,500

Payment Schedule: (non-refundable)
March 15 - $625
April 15 -    $625
May 15 -    $625
June 15 -    $625

Tuition for coach/accompanists $1,000.00

Payment Schedule: (non-refundable)
March 15 - $250.00
April 15 -    $250.00
May 15 -    $250.00
June 15 -    $250.00

Scholarships
 Scholarships, including the Katharine Bidwell Scholarships for young singers - merit-based grants ranging from full to partial-tuition scholarships, among othrs -  will be awarded to qualified singers enrolled in the CoOPERAtive program. 

Scholarship recipients will be notified of the amount of scholarship in their acceptance notification.

Optional campus housing  $675.00 

  • Housing is available in campus residence halls (two to a room) with meals served in the dining commons, close to rehearsal and classroom facilities.  Please note that only a few rooms with air-conditioning are available on a first come first serve basis.
