Date
April 10, 2010

This seminar deals with important questions that should be answered before a voice teacher sets off to create an independent voice studio. The seminar format will be lots of discussion and will be led by Charles Walker, Westminster Voice faculty member and expert in the field. Topics to be covered include:

Professionalism in the Independent Voice Studio
Policies and sound business practices: including payment, absences, bookkeeping, realistic payment plans, helping students set practicing goals and being comfortable with your self-created situation.

What We Charge and Why
The independent voice teacher is notoriously underpaid. Ideas for determining workload and schedule as well as maintaining control we have over your own economic status.
