This is a course for the musician with some prior conducting exposure but little formal training. Using familiar folksongs and hymn tunes, this course deals with the fundamental concepts and skills of conducting including breathing, posture, beat patterns, cues, cut-offs, fermatas, dynamics, and articulations.
