Working (and Playing with) Apple’s Garage Band

Date
February 13, 2010
Discipline
Theory
Teacher
Ronald Hemmel

Included with every new Macintosh since 2004, GarageBand will let you build a musical composition with loops (pre-recorded sounds), field recordings and/or live performers. During this seminar, students will experience multitrack composition, edit a radio ad, produce a movie trailer soundtrack, and learn how to share their creations online and off. Students, schools and instructors who are not yet ready for the expense or complication of major computer music software programs may find GarageBand to be just what they’re looking for. If you have ears and can click a mouse, you’re ready to start making music with this program.

Recommended: Bring your own digital photos and video.
