Writing Cadenzas, da capo Ornamentation . . .Study of the GF's own da capo ornamentations and the basic Essential Ornaments of the High Baroque.

Internationally recognized soprano and recording artist (over 120 recordings of Baroque and Classical Music) Dr. Julianne Baird (Distinguished Professor at Rutgers University) leads this seminar on stylistically authentic ornamentation in the music of George Friedrich Handel. Ms. Baird will talk about basic essential ornaments of the high Baroque period. Specific topics include writing of cadenzas, da capo ornamentation as well as the study of Handel’s own da capo ornamentation.
