Synthesizers, MIDI and Computers, Level I

This seminar provides hands-on experience for musicians who have little or no experience in using synthesizers, computers and Music Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI). Participants will learn how to decipher MIDI terminology, learn how to set up a MIDI workstation, be introduced to music notation software (Finale) and music sequencing software (Digital Performer). Each participant will have the use of a personal workstation in Westminster’s Music Computing Center. Enrollment is limited to 12 persons to ensure personal attention.
