The students have rehearsed, parents have made incredible costumes, the history teacher hung the lights and the show is terrific but you only sold 30% of the seats. Ugggg, what a dilemma. Arts educators and small arts agencies don't have massive marketing and public relations budgets. What they do have is passion for their art form. Let us take that passion and develop strategies to use free and low cost methods to "get the word out" about your arts endeavors. Topics will include dealing with the public media, gorilla marketing strategies, planning a public relations and marketing campaign and more. Students will be engaged in group activities and asked to bring samples of their current public relations and marketing endeavors.
