Vocal Institute
Under the direction of renowned choral conductor and clinician James Jordan, the two-week Vocal Institute draws 150 students from across the country and around the world. Enrollment is open to students entering the 10th grade through those who have just completed their senior year. There is no audition or application deadline for this program, however please apply as soon as possible to ensure your acceptance.
July 4 - July 17, 2010
Tuition: $1500
- Focus on college-level choral singing of major choral works
- Daily voice classes with Westminster artist faculty Elem Eley, Tom Faracco, Julia Kemp, Sharon Sweet, Elizabeth Sutton and Amy Zorn
- Audition to perform with the chamber choir or women’s choir
- Solo singing in music theater and performance classes
- Opportunities for private lessons (additional fee)
- Elective classes
- Perform in the final voice class recitals and choral concert at the Princeton University Chapel (parents, families and friends are invited to attend)
Daily Schedule
- Morning: Movement class, voice class warm-up, sectionals/choir rehearsal
- Afternoon: Electives, voice classes, full choir rehearsal
- Evening: Select choirs, supervised activities
