Middle School Music Theater Workshop
July 20–26, 2008
One-week program
Now in its fifth year, the summer Middle School Music Theater Workshop has grown from 15 students in its first year to 50 students last summer. This year we are adding a dance/movement class. Students will study and perform in a showcase led by music director Nick McBride and stage director Nathan Brewer. Note: Enrollment is limited and applicants are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and are accepted based on availability in voice part.
Program Highlights
- Acting and Audition Techniques with Nathan Brewer
- Voice classes with Westminster voice faculty
- Dance classes
- Perform in the final Musical Theater Showcase
Daily Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Morning: Voice Class, Acting and Audition Techniques Class, and Dance Class
Afternoon: Ensemble Vocal Rehearsal, Sectionals and Blocking Rehearsals
Wednesday: Attend a Broadway show and have dinner in New York
Saturday: Showcase (family and friends are encouraged and invited to attend)

We will be attending Mary Poppins on Broadway and dinner will be at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York. |
Enrollment is open to students entering 6th through 9th grades.
