July 25 - July 30, 2010
Tuition: $TBA

Enrollment is open to students entering the 9th grade through those who have just completed their senior year.

Daily Schedule
Master classes, taught by Gerald Carey, will focus on solo repertoire. Participants will be selected to perform in daily master classes with accompaniment. Each will be assigned a standard piece from the solo repertoire that will be performed on the final camp recital. Selection is based on a playing audition during the first day. Ensemble classes will focus on flute literature for small ensembles such as trios and quartets and will address specifics of tone, rhythm, intonation, balance, etc. Additional activities will emphasize good warm-up procedures, the importance of scales in daily technique classes, flute choir reading, and special events relating to all aspects of the flute and flute playing.  High School Summer Flute Camp students work alongside the Middle School Summer Flute Camp students during the day in a wide variety of activities. In the evening, special activities are added to the schedule.
