Kathleen Scheide

Adjunct Professor of Harpsichord

Kathleen Scheide has concertized as a harpsichord and organ soloist throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Far East and the Caribbean.  She has received touring artist grants from the Arkansas Arts Council, California Arts Council and the American Embassy, Vienna. Dr. Scheide earned degrees in early music and organ performance at New England Conservatory and the University of Southern California.  Her teachers have included John Gibbons and Cherry Rhodes. She presently serves as Organist/choirmaster on the historic E.M. Skinner organ at All Hallows Episcopal Church near Philadelphia, and teaches harpsichord at Westminster Choir College, Princeton.

Dr. Scheide is a Past Dean of the American Guild of Organists, San Diego Chapter.  She is a Founding Member and Advisory Board Member of the San Diego Harpsichord Society and the Western Early Keyboard Society. Her compositions have been published by Darcey Press, Piano Press, Time Warner, Wayne Leupold and World Library.
