East Coast Entrepreneur Awards

From 1998 to 2000, the Rothman Institute coordinated the New Jersey Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards program. This was a statewide program recognizing undergraduates who owned or ran businesses. In 2001, the New Jersey Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards program expanded to include New York, Connecticut and Delaware and was renamed the East Coast Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards program.

Undergraduate-level students in colleges, universities, technical or career schools who run their own businesses in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware are eligible to compete in this program that recognizes young entrepreneurs. Each state identifies first- and second-place winners and they are awarded cash prizes. In addition, the judges decide on an overall winner, and he/she will receive an additional award.

The competition is affiliated with the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards SM competition sponsored by St. Louis University in Missouri. The winner of the East Coast competition competes with winners from other regions in the Global competition.  For specific information on how to apply or for prize details, click here.
