The awards are bestowed annually by the board of directors of the Rider University Alumni Association and by faculty and administrative committees representing each of the four academic colleges on the University's Lawrenceville campus.

Herbert R. Wolfe 01 - Continuing Studies
Thomas J. Lynch of Lake Forest, Ill., a 1975 accounting graduate (College of Business Administration). Lynch is executive vice president of Motorola, Inc. Before his current assignment, he served as senior vice president and general manager of the Satellite & Broadcast Network Systems (SBNS) strategic business unit for General Instrument, based in San Diego. SBNS is the recognized leader in secure video processing and communications, primarily for satellite and broadcast media.

Steven J. Cosgrove of North Brunswick, a 1977 MBA graduate and corporate controller of Johnson & Johnson, was the 2001 recipient of the alumni recognition award from the College of Business Administration (CBA). During the course of his 27-year career with the New Brunswick, NJ-based healthcare company, Cosgrove held key positions within the finance organizations of several operating companies and served as vice president of finance for several J&J affiliates in Europe and the United States. He is also a member of the CBA's Business Advisory Board.
