Why did you choose Rider University?
I chose Rider University mostly for the small community it is. I knew the classes would be a smaller, comfortable size that would give me a greater chance of interacting and getting to know my professors and peers. Also, the Business school seemed like it had a lot to offer me for my future, and it turns out it does. There are so many opportunities to meet and network with recruiters and employees of great companies that I would consider working for.

What do you like about Rider University?
I enjoy the atmosphere of Rider as a whole. It’s a great place to learn and grow as a person, a student, an athlete, or an employee. One learns a lot about him or herself during their college years, and I just feel I am getting the most out of myself here at Rider than I would anywhere else.

What is your favorite class, and why?
My favorite class would have to be Fundamentals of Management with Dr. Sandberg. The only reason I took the class was because it’s a business core requirement, but I feel it teaches so much about working in the business world. I didn’t realize how useful the class was until I was able to utilize some of the information during a summer internship in a contracting office.

What person at Rider has had the most impact on you, and why?
Steve Fletcher, my swim coach, has had the most impact on me. Not only is he a great coach to swim under, he’s also very influential. He knows that a college athlete is always a student first and he realizes the importance of preparing for post-graduation. Fletcher was also basically the first person at Rider I met, and he gave me a lot of confidence in Rider as both a school and a team. He sees potential in people that some may not see themselves and pushes them to be their best, in and out of the pool.

What are your career plans?
My short-term career plans after I graduate are hopefully to be offered a job with the office I intern for. Assuming they offer me a position, they have also offered to pay for graduate classes in order for me to take my CPA exam. In the long-term, I could see myself going back to a University to teach in Accounting.
