Why did you choose Rider ? Rider has the best combination of athletics and academics. I was able to play varsity and club sports while focusing on my future as a high school math teacher and coach.
What do you like about Rider? The class sizes are small so you get to know your professors better.
What is your favorite class, and why? My favorite class is Probability and Statistics with Dr. Steven Klein, associate professor of management sciences. The course relates to everyday events, like poker. Dr. Klein’s immense knowledge of the subject allows him to teach the course in a way that is clear and interesting. He is able to relate to his students and makes sure everyone is at the same pace.
What person at Rider has had the most impact on you, and why? Dr. Charles Schwartz, chair of the math department, has been able to lead me in the right direction because after changing majors twice before, he took the time to set up an intense, but reasonable schedule for me to graduate within a reasonable amount of time.
What are your career plans following graduation? I plan on teaching math at a high school around this area and coaching football and baseball. I also plan on selling real estate in my spare time.
Hobbies: Playing, watching and coaching sports.
