Why did you choose Rider ?
I chose Rider because I wanted to go to an established business school with a small student to professor ratio. Rider seemed like the perfect fit.
What do you like about Rider?
I like the relationships I have developed with faculty and administration, the friendships I have made through my tenure at Rider, and, of course, the on campus pub….ha ha . I enjoy the close knit community, small classes, and special attention I have received through the classes and programs I have been involved with. I did not feel like another number at Rider, but an important part of the community.
What is your favorite class, and why?
My favorite class was my New Venture Planning class with Dr. (Ronald) Cook (Professor of Small Business). I enjoyed working with a team to write up a business plan. I found the knowledge I gained in this course was very practical and can be applied to real life situations. If I ever plan on starting my own business, I will be able to use what I learned in this class and apply it to a real life business plan.
What person at Rider has had the most impact on you, and why?
Two people have actually influenced me the most at Rider. Through my involvement with Greek life and the Student Government Association I got to know Cassie Iacovelli (Assistant Dean of Campus Life) and she has become family to me. Also Mark Sandberg (Associate Professor of Management) has taught me a lot in DAARSTOC and also in his classes. Both of these people have taken time out of their busy schedules to get to know me and help me succeed in life, and for this I am grateful.
What are your career plans following graduation?
After Graduation I am heading down to the Fort Lauderdale area of Florida, where I will be working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I also have aspirations of some day living overseas again.
Hobbies:
Golf, baseball, horseshoes, just about any type of outdoor activity, attempt to play the guitar.
