A commitment to innovation in teaching is Rider’s hallmark. Rider’s faculty, staff, and administration strive to provide a student-centered learning environment that will continually challenge, inspire, and motivate students to learn, both within and beyond the classroom. The Teaching and Learning Center, BRIDGE, and the Center for Innovative Instruction (CII) advance this goal by allowing Rider educators to coordinate forward-thinking approaches and activities across disciplines at Rider, and to re-frame teaching and learning methods and ideas according to the most cutting-edge education research available today.  

The University supports the development and implementation of innovative instructional strategies, including current technology options that can enhance student learning. Through programs like this, Rider effectively promotes current advances in education University-wide, and faculty have the opportunity to collaboratively re-shape and re-think their goals for learning and assessment. Ultimately, this ensures that students are encouraged to learn and think in new ways, throughout their experience at Rider, and throughout their lives.
