Room Policy

Meetings
To reserve a room, call (x5333) or email the Teaching and Learning Center Office (tlc@rider.edu) to check availability.  Please indicate at this time any technology you plan to use.  Rooms are reserved "as is."  Please see the facilities or virtual tour pages for pictures.  You may rearrange the tables as you wish, but please return it to the original configuration.

Technology
If you plan on using the technology available, please indicate this when making your reservation.  It is recommended that you schedule an appointment with OIT/Media Services prior to your meeting date to familiarize yourself with the equipment.  If you need something that is not listed on our technology equipment list, contact Media Services.  Videoconferencing requires at least 2 weeks for set-up and testing.

Regularly Scheduled Classes
If you are interested in teaching in one of the classrooms for the semester, please contact Joyce Ciesielka (x5333).  Scheduling priority for each semester is given to courses which meet the following criteria:

  • Education faculty teaching science/math methods courses and science/math faculty teaching courses that engage education majors.
  • CII Instructional Innovation Course Revision faculty participants seeking to utilize instructional technology that may not be available elsewhere.
  • Faculty seeking to engage students in a seminar or workshop environment.

**Space is also used for community outreach and K-12 in-service activities.**

Please put your request in writing to the Teaching and Learning Center (tlc@rider.edu).  A decision will be made if the requested class meets the priorities for using this classroom space.  If it does, we will notify Registrar’s Office to schedule the class for the appropriate room.  Note:  Registrar’s Office will not schedule anyone in these rooms without our prior approval.
