Teaching and Learning Center
The Teaching and Learning Center is a resource and networking center that promotes and enhances the teaching mission of Rider University. The Center encourages faculty renewal through interdisciplinary communities of practice. It fosters innovation, collaboration, collegiality, and scholarship through a broad range of programs, services, and resources.
The TLC keeps the campus community abreast of pedagogical developments, maintains and coordinates a wide array of teaching and learning resources, and supports faculty in enhancing their teaching.

Coming Soon: Teaching in the Face of Absences
In the event that faculty or students have to miss class because of Swine Flu, Rider University supports multiple pieces of communication technology that can be used to continue instruction. The Teaching and Learning Center, in cooperation with the Office of Information Technology, will be offering workshops in September that will introduce faculty to several of those options currently available at Rider and supported by OIT. Options range from simple ones that allow faculty to post assignments and upload readable versions of lecture material online to more sophisticated options that allow students to attend class virtually in real time and permit the faculty to archive audio, video, and desktop events captured during class sessions.
Rider SELECT Resource Center Now Accessible Online
The Teaching and Learning Center maintains a Rider SELECT lending library of books, workbooks, and videos geared toward inquiry-based teaching and learning, literacy in math and science, and cognitive research.
