Sept 9 - Tension Reduction Tuesday
Stop by the Student Recreation Center Seminar Room between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for your free 10 minute seated chair massage. Relax and unwind after a busy Fall Opening.
Sept 14 - Mercer County Heart Walk
Meet up with your co-workers at beautiful Mercer County Park for the annual walk to support the American Heart Association and aid in the fight against Heart Disease. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with the walk kicking off at 10:30 a.m. Participants will receive Rider Heart Walk T-shirts and other giveaways at the sponsor tents. Please register online by visiting the Rider U team page: http://heartwalk.kintera.org/mercercountynj/gobroncs and feel free to make a charitable donation towards the AHA as part of the Rider University community.
Sept 17 - Intramural Sports Registration Deadline
Stop by the Ticket Booth on the second floor of the SRC and register your team for Flag Football, Outdoor Soccer, Tennis, and/or Whiffleball. Registration is free and Intramural Sports provide a great opportunity for student/staff/faculty interaction outside the classroom.
Sept 22 - Fall Back into Shape!!
Register to participate in our 8 week Fitness Incentive Program! Every other week we will reward you for completing your fitness goals. You can walk, run, bike, strength train, and take group exercise classes, in order to log your points for the two week time frame. Prizes range from healthy snacks to T-shirts. NOTE: You must be a member of the SRC to use the Fitness Center and participate in Group Exercise classes, however, use of the elevated Track is free to all Faculty and Staff.
Oct 3 - CGA (Collegiate Golf Alliance) Regional Local Qualifier
Register a twosome for the CGA Regional Qualifier held on Friday, October 3, at Mountain View Golf Course in Ewing, NJ. The shot-gun start will begin at 1 p.m. The cost is just $100/team and winners in each division (student and faculty/staff) are eligible to compete in the National Collegiate Golf Alliance Tournament to take place in Las Vegas the weekend of November 7-9, 2008. Cost includes round of golf, cart, lunch, dinner, and prizes. Come out for one of the last great days of golf this season.
