Rider University Hosts Women In Transition Event With Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce

Rider University’s Center for Development of Leadership Skills and Mercer County Regional Chamber of Commerce will co-sponsor Women In Transition, a one-day seminar for career-minded women on Thursday, May 22, on the Lawrenceville campus, located at 2083 Lawrenceville Road.

The event will include networking opportunities for women who are reentering the work force after child-rearing years, who would like to make a career change and want access to reliable resources, who have never worked and want to enter the workforce and/or who are looking for networking opportunities.

The attendees will gain practical, hands-on experiences from skilled professionals through panel discussions and workshops, learn strategies to enhance confidence, and network with women who have been through transition and succeeded. Topics will include: identifying the jobs in high demand, understanding alternative work arrangements, starting a business and returning to full-time employment. This distinctive program will introduce women to a broad range of possibilities as well as provide them a great networking opportunity.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The cost is $35 and includes breakfast and lunch.

Register for the seminar online at www.mercerchamber.org and click on “events.”
