Joe Nadeau Announces Retirement

Following a distinguished 37-year career as a professor of Geological, Environmental and Marine Sciences, and most recently, 11 years as dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Education and Sciences, Dr. Joseph E. Nadeau has formally announced his retirement from Rider University effective July 1, 2008. In commemoration of his dedicated service to Rider University, our community will honor Dr. Nadeau at a retirement celebration on Friday, April 18, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center Cavalla Room.
“Joe’s retirement marks the end of an era at Rider University,” said Don Steven, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs. “His academic and scholarly accomplishments have been as significant as they have been plentiful, and the impact he has made on his students and his fellow faculty members will be felt for years to come. If faculty are indeed the heart and soul of the University, then its academic deans may well be the strength.”
The University community is invited to attend Nadeau’s retirement reception. Watch for your invitation in the campus mail shortly. For more information, please contact Beverly Braddock, special events and project manager in the Office of the President, at x7056.
