The Center for Innovative Instruction Presents "Technology-enabled Discussion to Deepen Student Learning"

Next week you have two opportunities to attend a panel discussion about ways to have your students engage in thoughtful discussion about course topics.  Kathleen Pierce and John LeMasney will moderate a discussion by faculty who have had success using communication technologies such as blogs, wikis, and online discussion forums to deepen student learning.

The discussion will be held on Monday, April 7, 5-6:30 p.m. in Science 310-11 and again on Tuesday, April 8, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in Science 334. If you are interested in attending, please register by Friday, March 28.

To register for either occurrence of the panel discussion, go to the URL below and fill out the form.

If you are unable to attend the discussion but would like to attend a workshop designed to equip you with a specific communication tool such as a blog, wiki, or discussion forum (along with a specific assignment or activity, and a scoring guide to evaluate student participation), contact Kathleen Pierce or John LeMasney  of CII, or Tim McGee of TLC.
