Marilyn Priestley '74 to Deliver Women's History Month Keynote Address

Marilyn Priestley '74 will deliver the keynote address for Rider's Women’s History Month on Monday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center Theater. Priestley will speak on diversity and inclusion principles in the work place.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Labor Relations from Rider, Priestley has risen to the rank of the vice president at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation where she serves as a role model and mentor to countless associates, helping to spotlight the company’s diversity and inclusion principles. She has also been actively involved with African American Leaders, an employee group that is helping NPC capitalize on the rich diversity of its people. Priestley is responsible for leveraging employees’ unique strengths and diversity – from race, age and gender to cultures, perspectives and styles of thinking – to drive business performance and employee satisfaction.
Women’s History Month with this year’s theme of “Diversity Shapes Her Story”
begins with an opening celebration, Women Around the World, on Monday, March 2, at 8 p.m. in the BLC Cavalla Room. Join us as we explore the different cultural foods and entertainment that women experience around the world.
Other events throughout the month of March that will highlight Women’s History Month at Rider include:
- March 4 -- Girls Night In -- A night for girls to hang out and explore their similarities as women.
Daly Dining Hall Board Room, 8 p.m. - March 6 - Arabian Nights Bronc Buffet -- Come and have your fortune read and even get some henna tattoos. There will be food, music and mystery.
Daly Dining Hall – 10 p.m. – 1 a.m. - March 9 - PCM’s Service of Healing and Wholeness -- This service will include prayers for the healing and repairing brokenness in our lives and in our world.
Gill Chapel, 5 p.m. - Wednesday, March 11 - Color Me Scarlet Pageant -- Beauty pageant with current Miss New Jersey as a judge. There will be various performances. This event will benefit the Lupus Foundation of America.
The Yvonne Theater, 6 p.m. - March 25 - HerStory: The First Feminist Literary Journal of Rider University -- Join us for the premiere of the first edition of the journal.
Fireside Lounge, 7 p.m.
Rider's women's history observance culminates on Tuesday, March 31, at 8 p.m. in the BLC Fireside Lounge with a closing ceremony as a way to celebrate the women in your life.
