Cranberry Fest Brings Campus Community Together
Cranberry Fest, a tradition at Rider since 1979, will be held on Thursday, September 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Campus Mall. The event will feature live blue grass music, roving artists, carnival games, a cow milking contest, and a delicious cranberry themed menu. Remember to show your Rider pride during Cranberry Fest and wear your "I Bleed Cranberry" shirt!

"Community Connections" Welcomes Students, Faculty and Staff Back to Campus
“Community Connections” is the welcoming theme for all members of the Rider University community, particularly new students, faculty and staff on the Lawrenceville and Princeton campuses.

New Student Move In Days
New students on the Princeton campus will move into residence halls on Wednesday, August 27, from 8 a.m.- noon, where student leaders will help welcome freshmen as they move in. Families are invited to lunch and our "Welcome to Westminster" session begins at 3:30 p.m. in Bristol Chapel. Lawrenceville new students will move into the residence halls on Sunday, August 31, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Upperclassmen for the new students called Bronc Buddies will be on hand to help new students move into their assigned residence halls. After the students move in and enjoy the family food-fest on the campus mall, a welcoming ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the SRC.

Rider Students, Graduates Excel in Google’s Online Marketing Challenge
A team of four Rider University students and recent graduates recently placed among the top 50 semifinalists for the Americas in the 2008 Google Online Marketing Challenge, a competition that aimed to give higher-education students an opportunity to gain real-world online marketing experience.

Graduate Sets Sights on Service Overseas
Eight-four dollars for 84 days. That’s been Colleen Kelly’s motto this summer while preparing for her upcoming adventure. In September, Kelly, who recently graduated magna cum laude from Rider University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, will travel to New Delhi, India, where she plans to volunteer in a number of service-oriented jobs.

Go Broncs! Once Again, Student-Athletes Make the Grade
According to the Spring 2008 report issued by NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative Dr. Jonathan Husch, the Broncs collectively registered a 3.06 grade point average for the semester, marking the highest collective GPA ever produced by Rider student-athletes.

A Reason to Belize - Rider Volunteers Build Hope Overseas
A group of 12 Rider students and graduates traveled to Belize to construct a hurricane-proof playground area for students at St. Andrew's Anglican School in San Ignacio Town in the Central American country's Cayo district.

Writing by Numbers
JP Krahel exemplifies the meaning of interdisciplinary. With a Bachelor of Arts in English already under his belt and a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) to follow in August, the Hillsborough, N.J., resident and soon-to-be two-time Rider graduate will begin his pursuit of a Ph.D. in Accounting at Rutgers University as a research assistant in the fall.
