The International Housing Committee announces the opening of the International Community Floor in Gee Hall for Fall 2008

The International Housing Committee would like to announce the opening for Fall 2008 of the International Community floor in Gee Hall. This community will host some 40 students with a mix of International and domestic students. The International Dorm will be located on the first floor of the Gee Residence Hall. Gee will be renovated over the summer, providing a prime residence living opportunity. This first floor is a coed floor. Our goals for creating this community are to promote the development of language skills, lifelong friendships, and cultural and diversity awareness. It will be almost like going abroad without leaving Rider!!! The dorm will offer many cultural activities as well!!! We are certain that living in this international space and interacting on a daily basis with students from many nations will be a positive and rewarding experience.

In order to have success in our program we are inviting all students on campus to consider applying for this opportunity. We will hold three information sessions:

  • March 4 at 8:30pm: during the International Club meeting in Gee Hall Lounge
  • March 10 at 4:30 pm: during the French Table in Fine Arts 309
  • March_26 at 4:30 pm: during the Spanish Table at Starbucks

Applications will be given at those meetings. Applications are due by 5:00pm Thursday, March 27, 2008 to the Residence Hall Life Office located in the BLC. Be sure to hurry! Spots are limited!!!
