I'm Ira Mayo, Associate Dean of Freshmen. I look forward to meeting our new students and their families this summer. The transition from high school to college can be difficult and our job is to make this go as smoothly as possible. Hello everyone and welcome to Rider University! My name is Beth Bouchard, and I am the Coordinator of the New Student Resource Center and Orientation. We have a great Orientation program planned for you this summer and the Orientation Staff and I are looking forward to meeting all of you and your family members when you visit us this summer. We are excited to help you start your time here with us and are ready to help you in any way you need and have a fun time introducing you to the campus and other new students!

Hi 2013!  I'm Loni Chasar, from Ewing, New Jersey, and I'm a sophomore Elementary Education/Psychology major with a minor in Special Education.  When you are on campus you can find me working in the Men’s Basketball Office or in the Office of Admissions.  When I’m not working on campus or in class, I volunteer in Trenton at the Trenton After School Program.  I am also a committee member for the Sunshine Bowl, a flag football game that benefits the children of the Sunshine Foundation Mercer County Chapter.  I am a Bonner Leader, a past Emerging Leader and I will be serving as a Bronc Aide in the fall.  I cannot wait to meet you all; don’t be shy because everyone at Rider is friendly and ready to answer the questions you may have! 

Hello 2013! I’m Nicole Halpin from Vernon, NJ. I’m a junior here at Rider studying Business and Secondary Education. I am an active member of Kappa Delta Pi, the education honors society and last year served as a peer assistant for the Rider Achievement Program. The Student Entertainment Council, which organizes many large events on campus, also fills much of my time as I will be the vice president next year. When I’m not busy with all those activities, I also work in the Office of Admissions as a tour guide and student ambassador.  I can’t wait to meet all of you!

Hey everyone! My name is Sam Kopec, and I’m a sophomore from Flemington, NJ double majoring in Global Supply Chain Management and Management & Leadership. I am also in the Leadership Development Program and am a regular volunteer with Special Olympics Bowling.  Next year I will also be working as a tour guide in the Office of Admissions. I’m so excited to meet you all this summer!

Hello Class of 2013 and welcome to Rider University! My name is Matt Metzger and I am a Communication major with a track in Radio and Television from Ridgewood, NJ.  On campus I work in the Office of Admissions as a tour guide and with the Rider University Network on the Rider Sports Corner.  I am also the off-campus chair for the Student Entertainment Council and a member of the Rider ice hockey club team. Currently, I am interning with the Trenton Devils of the ECHL. I am very excited about meeting you all this summer!

Hello everyone and welcome! My name is Ali Toohey from Howell, NJ. I am a senior, completing my student teaching in Journalism and Elementary Education this fall. I am the president of Kappa Delta Pi, the education honors society, a member of the Student Education Association, and part of the Senior Class Council. You can also find me in the Office of Admissions working as a tour guide and a student ambassador.   I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you at orientation!

Hey ladies and gents! My name is Dan Viola, and I’m a junior Fine Arts major with a concentration in Theatre from Bogota, NJ.  I am an active member and the new Treasurer of the National Honorary Theatre Fraternity, Alpha Psi Omega.  In my two years here at Rider, I’ve been seen onstage and working behind the scenes of the Mainstage shows as well as the student-directed shows.  Have a great summer everyone, and I can’t wait to meet you all at orientation!
