Services for WCC Alumni

Career Services is your resource center for career development and advising services.  The Career Services Office supports our graduates in the successful pursuit of their artistic and musical careers.

Job Search Strategies

  • Plan and implement a focused job search

  • Learn interviewing skills
     

Job Correspondence Assistance
Write – Rewrite – Review

  • Provide guidelines and tips for a clear and professional looking resume and cover letter
  • Suggest fresh ideas to incorporate into your current resume/curriculum vitae
  • Help you decide if you need more than one resume, each with its own emphasis
     

Individual Career Counseling

  • Provide personality and interest inventory assessments, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory
  • Discuss career questions in person, by phone or e-mail
  • Develop decision-making skills to help crystallize your career/life goals
  • Discuss plans for changes in the focus or direction of your career
     

Job Listings Newsletter

  • This online, password-protected electronic newsletter lists a unique mixture of job openings in churches, colleges, choral groups, private and public schools.  Nationwide in scope, the listings also contain many jobs specific to the New Jersey/New York/Philadelphia area.

Credential File Service

  • We will maintain a current file of your references to be used as part of your employment or graduate school application process..  At your request, we will mail copies of your references to institutions where you have applied for employment.  Your file can be tailored for each specific position, incorporating those references which you feel are most appropriate to that job.  Copies are sent in an attractive cover, personalized with your name and the title of the position for which you are applying.
