The Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research is seeking candidates to fill a research assistant position in the area of mental health services and policy research. The topic of this project is cultural competency in mental health treatment and service delivery.
This position involves primarily qualitative research, including assisting with conducting focus groups and analyzing qualitative data. Other duties may include:
Writing literature reviews, reports and grant applications and administration study data analysis and dissemination efforts.
Study and grant administration duties
Ensuring study participant confidentiality and IRB compliant reporting.
Requirements:
Current graduate student or graduate level degree in related area (anthropology, sociology, psychology, education, social work, public health, public administration).
Experience or completed course work in qualitative research data collecting and analysis
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Computer literacy in Web-based applications, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Bi-lingual a plus - English/Spanish
