This position is for a Senior Biological Scientist to assist the Wildlife Ecology program and serve as the Program Coordinator for the Florida Master Naturalist Program (www.MasterNaturalist.org), both of which are directed by Dr. Martin Main. The position is located at the University of Florida, Southwest Florida Research and Education Center in Immokalee, which is approximately 30 miles from Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and Naples areas and near the Big Cypress National Preserve, Everglades National Park, Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge and other natural areas. The position provides a comfortable and well-equipped working environment and a challenging and exciting opportunity to be involved in environmental research and education with an emphasis on Florida ecosystems.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be expected to assist in data collection and development of educational materials, disseminate information to professional and lay audiences, supervise research technicians and volunteers, coordinate various aspects of the Florida Master Naturalist Program, and provide general support to the wildlife ecology program as directed.

Qualifications
Minimum educational requirements include a BA/BS in the environmental sciences. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are required. GIS skills are an asset.

Compensation
This position includes full health and retirement benefits, salary commensurate with experience.
